they say best things happen when you expect the least or words to that effect!
we started this season’s swimming yesterday, me and my son. I had least expectations of him giving it a try because one he has a fear of sinking and two he loves his comfort zone of hanging on to the railing in the pool!
Alas! I was proven wrong as he took inspiration from the many friends he has mad!e recently and seeing all of them swimming all around changed his perceptions i a bit. He tried, we tried and we succeeded. At least took the first step today in swimming like a cute turtle 🙂 I don’t think I will ever forget the sight of him doing that cute step on his own and the thrill that I felt when he achieved it.
I too don’t know how to swim so i couldn’t be a good inspiration for him (he doesn’t know this). Thanks to the people around for telling me that he will learn eventually and somewhere I kept the hope alive. Kept trying to challenge his comfort zone, along came his friends and gave me this day to remember forever.
Another milestone reached by my big 4 year old!!!
