Its my marriage anniversary tomorrow and nostalgia has been hitting since the beginning of this month!
How soon have we completed seven years of marriage, hopefully its a success!! 🙂
Sadly we are away and a joint celebration cannot happen, but with my father and son and some colleagues. Its amazing to look back at wedding and honeymoon pics especially now. It tells you so much about how you have grown together, from being just lovers to family members.
Its so beautiful when two youngsters get married and are full of dreams – mostly picked from the romantic movies seen in their growing up years! Then comes the reality of staying together, adjusting and learning new things about each other and also the contrasts of their growing up years. I have never seen two people with exactly same culture, even if they belong to same region and religion. this makes such a huge difference to what was dreamt of and what actually happens.
In my short stint as a wife, I have understood that its best to remain friends first, and keep the trust alive. That’s the only thing that can keep us together, no matter how much we fight over MIL issues or other trivial matters. Stretching anything too far always ends up in bad taste which is so bad for a good and healthy marriage.
