I have a 3 year old son, and we, his parents, are from different religious beliefs, although it all culminates to the same worshipping style!
How I project God to my child will mould his life forever in his thoughts and actions in his grown up years. Bowing to a God is right, but how far can one go to steer the life according to some beliefs is what matters. The belief that there is someone monitoring us is good to keep us in check.
with no offence to the staunch believers, I would like my son to value all around him, to respect all religions and to carve his own belief based on his understanding when he grows up. I would try not to fill in his ears with the rights and wrongs of a belief.
Rather I would try to make him a human being who will value his surroundings, including his people and things. To be passionate towards the needy and to be thankful & grounded when life showers him with the choicest of blessings!
