Just now I felt this that what if we shower an unconditional love on people we actually don’t like to the degree of hating them! These people who are a part of your or your extended family, or even in your work space! Can we live anyone unconditionally except our parents and children?
I imagine a scenario like this and it gives me a very happy feeling. Transports me to a wonderland – well, almost! Where everyone around is goody good and no harsh feelings! Alas! Such is dreamland not the real land where we stay!
then comes the thought that positivity never creates negative emotions, unless of course someone has taken an oath to be so. Even when there is an air of utmost hatred – usually happens in relationships like boss- subordinate, MIL-DIL, mom-daughter, or even college rivals, a tiny hit of positive attitude sparks a light of hope that some day things will look up and the atmosphere will lighten. and I strongly feel that we should not lose hope, sowing a positive seed at every opportunity should be our aim, without hurting ourselves. This is where the un conditionality plays it’s role, that without anticipating a good response, you try and create an atmosphere of love and friendliness for everyone’s benefit.
Today I read a Paulo Coehlo’s quote that says when you decide to say yes to someone, make sure you are not saying no to yourself.
Holds so true!
